The 1 day introductory kitesurf course is a great way to confirm this amazing sport is for you. The instructor will guide you through the basics of kite flying theory and safety, in order to begin your kitesurfing journey..

Starting with how to rig your kite, you will then be taken step by step through the built in safety features. With this mastered, you are then able to learn how to fly a traction kite, experience the power zone and how this is used to pull you through the water. As part of this process you will compete a number of exercises in kite control, building your skill and confidence levels.

The objective of day 1, is for you to be able to land and launch the kite safely, and move the kite though the power zone in a controlled manor. This introductory session is perfect if you are looking to try kitesurfing for the first time, and get a sense of the exhilaration enjoyed by so many kitesurfers.

On the second day of your course you will enjoy your first contact with the sea, where you will be able to review your skills learnt during day 1. There are 2 main elements to this phase of the course;

BODY DRAG : Using the power of the kite to pull yourself though the water. The objective is to build your confidence in the water, whilst achieving the ability to sail upwind, using your body as a keel.

WATER RELAUNCH : How to relaunch the kite from the water. Using the latest generation of Airush kites, this is easy and will give you the confidence you need in your equipment.

Depending on your capacity to learn, and the wind / water conditions, you may be ready to take your first steps to riding with the board (waterstart).

Time to put everything you have learnt to the test. Day 3 is about transmitting the power from your kite, through your legs to the board, and to begin kite surfing.
This process is called the WATER START.
Flying the latest generation of kites, boards designed by Gisela, and being instructed by a world class team, we can assure you a great time with us in Tarifa. Typically, with 9 hours of tuition we have up to 40-50% of clients riding independently. This is a conservative estimate. It would be easy to promise kite surf mastery in 9 hours, but this would be unfair and may leave you feeling disappointed after enjoying a great course with us. We can assure you the fastest route to becoming an independent kitesurfer, whilst managing your expectations with integrity.

Day 1

You now have 2 full sessions to master riding your board, and explore more technical aspects such as upwind riding.

After a 5day course 80-90% of clients leave the school feeling independent, and ready to buy their own equipment and continue kiting alone / with friends.

Private tuition is without doubt the best way to learn any sport – kitesurfing is no different.
With an instructor at your side 100% of the time, we are able to accelerate the pace of the lessons, and ensure you learn in the shortest possible time, and with an approach which focuses 100% on your needs every moment of the class.
Whilst seemingly expensive when compared to group courses, private lessons are more intensive, and therefore you will learn more in less time. In some cases you will spend the same on private lessons as you would for a group course in order to reach the same level. This depends on your propensity to learn. If you are coming from a background of boardsports, and tend to take to new sports easily, then this may be the case for you.

If you have a lot of kiteboarding experience and can safely sail upwind you can enjoy our rental offers.

You will be tested by one of our instructors at the beginning of your rental. If you have sufficient knowledge of kiting and safety procedures you can go ahead and sail anywhere in the Tarifa area where kiteboarding is allowed. We will of course advise you on the best spots for the day / prevailing conditions.

Should you still be lacking some necessary abilities for renting gear we offer to transform your rental payment into lessons with equipment and supervisions until you are able to sail all by yourself. We will give you also an orientation regarding local conditions and rules and we will help you choose equipment and fine-tune it with you. All boards and kites are in the “pool-system” which means you can adjust your choice of kite and board due to the wind conditions. Equipment Insurance can be purchased here locally.

- If, after 60 minutes of your course, you feel kiteboarding is not for you, we will refund your entire course

- If, after one day of teaching, you wish to cancel your course, we will refund the remaining hours of your course

- If the conditions render the kite school unable to deliver lessons, we will refund you the remaining hours of your course
